Security Update: SOC 2 Type II compliance
The rapid adoption of business cloud services means that pretty much every enterprise and its SaaS vendors have migrated on-premise data and computing resources into an enormous array of private and public cloud services. But is the cloud safe for sensitive data? Application and network vulnerabilities leave organizations open to a variety of attacks that include data theft, ransomware, and malware installation. And mishandled data can have enormous associated costs for a business—in terms of both dollars and reputation.
Of course, the security of your information is of paramount concern for your IT team, so how can you know whether DeepHow is handling your data with the maximum level of care? Do our policies and procedures adhere to the most stringent security and data protection best practices? That’s where official external auditing becomes crucial.
Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 is an auditing procedure that verifies whether a service provider securely manages your data to protect the interests of your organization and the privacy of your customers and partners. SOC stands for System and Organization Controls, and for security-conscious businesses, SOC 2 compliance is a minimal requirement when considering a SaaS provider. There are two SOC 2 audits: Type I and Type II, with Type II evaluating more data over a longer period and verifying that specific security procedures are always followed.
We are pleased to announce that DeepHow completed SOC II Type I and Type II audits and has been found to be in compliance across the board. To achieve this certification, we worked with an approved AICPA auditing company, IS Partner. All of our policies, system architecture, documentation, processes, procedures, and management protocols were audited by IS Partner. The effort was coordinated by DeepHow’s Security Team, with strong support from DeepHow’s IT team.
If you have any questions about our SOC 2 compliance, please contact Bolaji, who would be pleased to address any aspect of the audit process and our ongoing efforts to ensure our customers’ data is secure.
